I even think that I would not need my AirHawk 2 cushion which is my life-saver during long trips on my Fazer. The seat has a big flat surface and with that it gives support to a sufficient butt area, and it gave me the feeling that I can drive for a long time on this standard seat without regretting it. The bike was higher than I had anticipated. The dealer had now all colors in the showroom as you can see below.īefore starting the test drive, the dealer had put the seat in the highest position which is perfect for my length (1.82 m). The Red Lava test bike had been used during the European introduction and had little over 1000 km of road experience. Next is the Matt Grey, closely followed by the Race Blu. I must admit that Yamaha did a nice job with the colors on this version, as I like the Red Lava one the best. So that is one of the main criteria I will be looking at.Īpart from what I had blogged yesterday, my test Yamaha MT-09 Tracer ABS was not the Race Blu version but a Lava Red one. For my touring habits it is nice, with for me one big draw back being wind noise. The Fazer is a nice motorcycle and a kind of all-rounder. I had planned the test in order to check whether the Tracer could be a successor for my Yamaha Fazer. Weather conditions were not the greatest as temperatures had been for some while in the freezing zone, and today temps were going up with some moisture coming down … so a considerable risk on glazed frost. I have spend in total about two-and-a-half an hour on the bike. ![]() Had today the opportunity to test drive the new Yamaha MT-09 Tracer ABS (in the US branded as Yamaha FJ-09).
